Story Behind The Song
With Nature, and in this case the woods, as the setting, this song is about a Special Lover, who was/is supremely helpful, to me. Done in two parts, the first part is more up tempo and the second half, the Reprise, is slowed down, but w/the same basic feel and lyrics. In the middle of the song, erupts a six minute drum solo, with strong and heavy jazz, african and rock motifs, which then segways back to the music for an extended jam featuring the Hammond B-3, and then on to the end of the song.

Lyrics
Walkin through the woods one day, I thought of you. And what you did for me that time, and...how you got me through.
I'm so grateful to have you here, right by my side. Won't you please, take my hand and a, won't you be my guide.
Can't you see, I'm soooo in love with you? Don't you know I'm a gonna see you through?
Anything that comes your way that's, gonna make you sad. Talk to me and be my friend I'm a, gonna make you glad.
You took the time to catch my eye, so that you might see. You opened up my mind and heart, and nothing's been the same.
Can't you see, I'm sooo in love with you? Don't you know I'm a, gonna see you through.
MUSIC BRIDGE
Same basic lyrics as above.
REPRISE...2nd half of song...
Standin by the ocean's shore I'm a, starin into space. I'm wonderin' what it's all about and a, why the crazy race.
But I'm so grateful to have you here, right by my side.
Won't you please take my hand, and won't you be my guide?
Short music jam leads to 6 minute drum solo, then back to music jam featuring Hammond B-3 to end of song.
